Hold down the Sleep/Wake button, press and release the Home button at the same time. Then let go of the Sleep/Wake button (maybe a while later).

  • Don’t hold both buttons for too long as you may end up powering off the iPad. You just need to “press” the Home button, not hold it.

    Check if you have successfully taken a screenshot. You just need to go to Camera Rpl (where photos are stored) to see if the photo you just took has appeared there. To enter Camera Rpl, simply press “Photos” on your home screen.

  • Advice

    • The above method also applies to iPod/iPhone.
    • If you want to sync (sync) photos to your computer, simply connect your iPad to your computer with a USB cable and download the photos via iTunes.
    • After taking a photo, you can email it to yourself or someone else if you can locate the photo in Camera Rpl.
    • If you have iCloud, the screenshots will be automatically synced with your other iOS devices.
