Kurapika is part of the main gang of the Hunter X Hunter series and one of the strongest and most resolute characters in the series. However, his strength and drive isn’t the only thing that makes him an absolute fan favorite. On top of all this, he is also exceptionally good-looking.

So Why Is Kurapika So Hot?

The primary reason why Kurapika is much better looking than all the other male characters is that he has a feminine touch to him. He’s elegant, beautiful, and graceful, unlike other characters such as Leorio who are straight-up obnoxious.

The 1999 anime version takes this a bit further. There are scenes where Kurapika is definitely feminine. For example: During the Hunter Exam Arc, Leorio washes up and comes out naked out of the shower. Kurapika gets a bit flustered and punches him. This shows that he might be a tiny weeny bit queer.

Is Kurapika Gay?

In the 2011 version, there are no clues or scenes that suggest that Kurapika is gay or bi. He just has an effeminate touch to his appearance and even then he’s still more of a man than anyone else.

However, in the 1999 anime version, Kurapika has a subtle bi subtext as I’ve mentioned earlier that he gets flustered when he sees Leorio naked. It might be true that the author wanted to make Kurapika bisexual but didn’t go through with it so he’s left as androgynous.

Is Kurapika A Girl?

No, Kurapika is not a girl even though many viewers seem to think this is the case at the start of the series. The reason is, first of all, he has a beautiful face with a slight feminine touch. On top of that, he has a small stature with thin limbs and narrow shoulders (even though he’s strong as heck). Thirdly, he pairs up with Leorio who is a direct opposite in terms of manly features. Leorio is very tall, hairy, rough, and loud, everything Kurapika is not. So this makes him seem like a girl.

Are Leorio And Kurapika In A Relationship?

Lol, no. They are not lovers or in a relationship. These questions arise mainly due to them always being together and being the best of friends, much like Gon and Killua. Thus, some fans ship them together.

However, the fact of the matter is, Kurapika and Leorio are great friends and are often by each other’s side. They are not in a relationship as both of them are straight heterosexual men.

Kurapika is a heterosexual male with an androgynous appearance. The reason is, Togashi probably wanted to explore his effeminate traits a bit but did not go through with it so he’s stuck with it. But there’s nothing wrong with it. He’s the most good-looking guy in the entire series. Some fans even think of him as prettier than the females!

However, this does not take away from the fact that he is very manly where it counts. He’s very resolute in his ambitions and stops at nothing in order to attain his vengeance.
