On November 3, 2021, the film premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, and on November 24, it was released theatrically in the United States. It garnered strong critical reviews, but because of the shortened release window, it disappointed economically, making approximately $194 million at the box office.

Maluma or Juan Luis Londoño Arias, who is a popular Colombian singer gave his voice to the character Mariano Guzman in the Disney animated movie, Encanto. His interest in singing began at a very young age where he started recording songs right from the age of 16. Maluma’s popular songs include, “Magia”, “Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy”, “Papi Juancho”, among others. The single “Hawái” gave him first rank three at the Billboard. He has received several accolades like the MTV awards, the Latin Grammy Award, and the Latin American Music Awards. Maluma has been nominated at the Grammy awards under the category Best Latin Pop Album. He was roped in to lend his voice to the character Mariano for the Disney Film Encanto.
