Rebecca Stanton (Hastings) is Cody’s older sister. She appeared briefly in Season 3 to 5. She appears to be 13-14 years old at the start of season 3.

Biography[]

She was an orphan, along with her brother Cody Stanton. When they first appeared in the Season 2/3 special, she was terribly sick from being out in the cold, and she nearly died. In the second part of the episode it is discovered that her condition is much worse that it appeared. However, she makes it to Cody’s New Year’s program where Dr. Burns says that she needs to go to Union City for treatment. Abigail Stanton agrees to care for Cody while she’s away. She recovered, but when she returns to Hope Valley she is in a wheelchair. Elizabeth discovers her love to live with her. After the science fair though (which Becky won), and seeing how much Cody loves Abigail, she realizes that Becky and Cody belong in Hope Valley and leaves on her own. Becky then moves on in the competition and ands up winning a scholarship, ended up in college, and then Abigail decides to officially adopt them, so she becomes Rebecca (Becky) Stanton.
