What is Dual Channel RAM?

However, you can use 2 sticks of the same type of RAM on different buses, but when installed on the motherboard, the RAM will automatically reduce the bus to equal the bus of the lowest RAM. For example, a RAM stick of the same type of DDR3 but with a bus of 1333MHz and 1600MHz , when the bus is plugged in, it will only be 1333MHz . This will waste the high bus of the 1600MHz RAM stick.
