What Does Smite do in Minecraft

What is Smite?

Smite is nothing but an enhancement to your weapons such as sword or axe, and enhanced weapons deal more damage to your undead enemies like skeletons, zombies, phantoms, and many more, but how are you going to recognize undead mobs? Their visible bones or rotting flesh can help you identify them; one of them looks like a skeleton horse, as seen in the image below:

Your enhanced weapons can inflict more damage to these creatures and be taken down with fever hits. The enchantment level defines the damage dealt to the undead mobs or enemies.

Smite has five levels; your weapon’s strength varies according to the level of Smite.

How to get Smite?

We will explain the procedure of getting Smite in the following methods:

Method 1: Loot Chests or Buried Treasure
You can Smite from loot chests or buried treasure found inside dungeons, shipwrecks, mineshafts, and many more places, but there is no guarantee that any of these chests would have Smite in them, but you can find it randomly.

Method 2: Getting from Librarian Villager
You can get enchanted books from the librarian villager who can’t be found, but you’ll have to turn an unemployed villager into a librarian by placing a lectern next to him. But first, you will have to craft a lectern which can be crafted using a bookshelf and four wood slabs, as shown in the picture below:

You can now trade with a librarian by going near him and clicking the right mouse button, and you will now see the trade offers from the librarian.

You will need paper to get emerald, and you can get paper by crafting on the crafting table using sugarcanes easily found near the water.

Once you have 27 emeralds, you will need a book that requires paper and leather. You can find cows, rabbits, or horses for the leather, which are pretty common in Minecraft.
