Theory #7: Evan & Delirious’ Copyright Strike

Okay so I may be quite late to this because I wasn’t able to upload this before I took a hiatus. But if you still don’t know about how Delirious got a copyright strike, then you’re even later than I am.

Just a little background/recap:

Delirious got a strike (possibly third strike) for his channel because of his old outro song “Delirious Outta My Mind” by the band Deliri0us. The band had filed a strike for their song, possibly from jealousy or maybe their contract (or whatever was agreed on) had expired. Whatever the reason, we don’t know. But Delirious’ channel was deactivated for a while and a whole lot from the gang (Lui, Tyler, etc) and even people outside (SeaNanners, Jacksepticeye) had said on social media how it was unfair.

But what some people have pointed out is that Evan said nothing about it in his twitter or facebook. Some said he didn’t want to get involved or maybe didn’t bother or maybe just didn’t post about it. Here’s my theory on this whole thing:

I think Evan did something about it, heck, I think he’s the reason (or atleast a big part of it) that Delirious got his channel back. And here’s why:

1. First of, even when Evan had a girlfriend, he didn’t really post anything about it. Compared to, let’s say, Tyler who posts about his girlfriend and his dog, so of course Tyler would also comment in the whole strike thing. But Evan doesn’t do those kinds of things. The only things we’ve really seen from him that’s not related to his videos are promotionals (like merchandise or new animated series/games related to the channel) but not really anything personal. Not from his videos, not from his twitter/facebook– aside from Q&A’s from long long ago.

2. He’s one of the top YouTubers, he’s in the top 5 non-VEVO YouTubers. So of course YouTube has to listen if he has something to say. And of course, he won’t post his possible letter or convo with the YouTube staff.

3. He’s part of JetPack. I don’t remember when this was but he did say something before about joining JetPack, which is a group that helps YouTubers with copyright and the like. So he either knows what can be done or knows someone from that group that knows what can be done.

4. This happened around late May of 2015. And at around early June of 2015, we were able to confirm that Evan was in fact already living in Los Angeles, which is in California. And what else is in Cali? Well, a few minutes (to hours depending on traffic) away from L.A. is San Bruno, which is where Google’s YouTube headquarters are. In short, Evan could’ve easily gone to the YouTube headquarters and made a complaint in person in behalf of Delirious.

There’s also the possibility that Delirious himself went over there but given that they were able to get his channel back real quickly (if I remember correctly it took about a day or two?) which means that it’s more likely that Evan went there instead of Delirious. If Delirious did go there, who knows, maybe he stayed at Evan’s place :3

So 2, 3 & 4 tells us that he has easy access to things that can help Delirious with this problem and 1 shows us that he won’t say anything public about it.

And to top it all off, this is Evan and Delirious we’re talking about. If you’re a die hard fan, you would already know and notice by now how they act towards each other. Whenever one of them is in danger (in game) or in trouble, it’s usually either

A. because of the other one

B. the other is the first (or only) to say he’s coming or he’ll save him or he’ll protect him.

Let’s not go far, in a recent video, we can hear Evan say “I must protect Delirious. I will absorb him into my asshole”

Kinky yes, and most likely a joke, but it’s almost always this way between these two.

Another recent video that shows that Evan’s saving Delirious despite Ohm saying he needs to heal Evan (although later he lets Ohm heal him). And later he could have left Delirious but instead goes to save him

Again, Evan saves Delirious

So we can clearly see that from their older videos until their current videos, they’re still that way with each other. Always messing around with each other, but always protecting as well. So I’m pretty sure that Evan had something to do with Delirious getting his channel back and he may have played a big role in it. And one last thing, I don’t think that Delirious would still be this close to Evan (to the point he now calls Evan by his first name even in videos) if Evan had sat back and not cared while Delirious was having trouble. It might even had been why Delirious started playing more again with the crew after the whole 5 month ‘hiatus’ from them.

But as always, it’s just a theory ^w^
