“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” is now available to stream at home. The superhero movie’s video-on-demand (VOD) release comes less than two months after it hit theaters on October 1. You can buy the comic book action flick from popular streaming retailers like Prime Video and Vudu for $20.
The story focuses on the Marvel universe’s Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), a journalist who has bonded with a powerful alien symbiote called Venom. When a psychotic serial killer, Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), pairs with another symbiote, he becomes the alien villain known as Carnage. With Carnage on the loose, Brock and Venom attempt to stop his deadly rampage.
“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” is part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe of Marvel films, which is separate from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) of interconnected movies. Though Venom and Spider-Man are both Marvel comic book characters, Sony still holds the rights to make movies based on those properties. That said, Sony and Marvel Studios have a deal that allows Spider-Man to appear in the MCU, so it’s possible Venom could show up in other MCU movies if both studios agree to it.
