A Baiting Hollow home made up of two geodesic domes, last owned by the late parents of reality TV star Scott Disick, recently saw the price drop by more than $250,000.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home came on the market early last year for $799,000. It is now listed for $545,000 after the price was steadily dropped.
Builder Kenneth Powell constructed the original semi-spherical home in 1982. It is made out of 2-by-6-inch boards nailed into triangular frames and fitted together, then covered in Sheetrock, a design popularized by U.S. inventor Buckminster Fuller in the 1950s. Powell later built a second dome using a kit on the one-acre property, which has an in-ground pool and a hot tub.
Public records show that Disick’s mother, Bonnie Disick, purchased the home in 2001 for $350,000. She died in October 2013 and her husband, real estate developer Jeffrey Disick, died a few months later.
Scott Disick has had an on-again, off-again relationship with reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian. They have three children.
Both Disick and his listing agent, Maryann Iacono of Daniel Sotheby’s International Realty, declined to comment.
