42. Shopping in Tostarena
Enter the Crazy Cap shop in Tosatarena and purchase this Power Moon for 100 coins from the yellow employee.
43. Employees Only
Notice the Power Moon behind the counter in the Crazy Cap shop? Exit the store and wrap around the left side of the building. An opening in a small fence can be used by crouching. Head inside to find yourself behind the counter!
44. Sand Kingdom Slots
To the right of the fountain in Tostarena is a door on the front of a house. Head inside to play the Sand Kingdom Slots! Cough up 10 coins at the desk and walk over to the three slots. The goal is to match the three slots with the same item. Get it right and get the item. Instead of trying to get each one individually with Cappy, stand to the left of the slots and wait for all three Power Moons to appear. Throw Cappy once all are out and you can get the Power Moon in one throw!
45. Walking the Desert!
A lone Koopa Troopa with a Sombrero is hanging out in the open desert. Speak with him to start a minigame where you’ll have to walk along a path.
The goal is to stay on the path and complete the circle, even when the path disappears. The path goes between bushes and cacti so use those to remember where the path went. Score over 80 points to win!
46. Hidden Room in the Inverted Pyramid
As you’re about to exit the last indoor area of the Inverted Pyramid, take note that the moving pillars have are connected by a floor. Use a Bullet Bill or the spring flower to land on this floor. Let it move into the wall where you’ll find a secret room with the Power Moon.
47. Underground Treasure Chest
As you make your way through the Underground Temple on your way to fight Knucklotec, get to the point where you have to capture a Bullet Bill to make it past the moving pillars. Instead of doing that, go off to the right and around the wall to find a spring flower. Jump up to the top of the wall, then start running down the narrow path. Get to the end and jump to find three hidden blocks. Use them to reach the chest above!
48. Goomba Tower Assembly
Get inside the Underground Temple in the hole where the Inverted Pyramid once stood and head over to the Goomba Tower. Don’t activate any of the pulse beams! Capture the Goomba Tower and walk over to the nearby structure where another Goomba Tower of three is hanging out. Jump out of the Goomba Tower and capture the second one. As the shorter Goomba Tower jump onto the taller one to combine into one giant tower. Walk over to the Power Moon to grab it!
49. Under the Mummy’s Curse
Available after completing all the main missions in the Sand Kingdom. Remember where Knucklotec’s head rested in the desert before you beat it to a pulp? Go back to the hole that remains in that area. It’s to the left of the Inverted Pyramid.
Drop down and you’ll be greeted to a swarm of Chincos, but you’ll also see an invisible Coin Coffer if you look closely. Capture the Coin Coffer and start pelting the Chincos with coins until one of them drops a Power Moon!
50. Ice Cave Treasure
As you’re getting Power Moon 24, you’ll have a chance to get this hidden moon! Enter the Ice Cavern and make it to the last section where the pillars stomp on the ice platform. Get to the last two pillars and start wall jumping up. Time it so that you can jump to the higher pillar without getting in between the bottom and top pillar. At the top is a Power Moon.
51. Sphynx’s Treasure Vault
There is a talking Sphynx near the north side of the ruins where the tower stands. Go there and speak with it to answer a question. The answer is Ring. Answer correctly to reveal a door. Inside is a chest with the Power Moon, along with a ton of coins!
52. A Rumble From the Sandy Floor
Near Power Moon 5 is a warp pipe on top of one of the homes in Tosatarena. Head inside and use the rumble feature to pinpoint the location of the Power Moon. Ground pound the top left corner to reveal the Power Moon.
53. Dancing with New Friends
Head to the Crazy Cap shop to purchase a Sombrero for 5 Purple Coins and the Poncho for 10 Purple Coins. Lookin’ good! Exit the store and run over to the north side of town. There you’ll find a locked door. Speak with Tostarenan and show off your cool clothes to let him unlock the door.
Head inside and stand in the center of the stage to play a quick tune. This will earn you a Power Moon!
54. The Invisible Maze
To the north of Moe-Eye Habitat is a Cappy door on the edge of the canyon. Head inside where you’ll find a pool of poison water and a single Moe-Eye.
Capture it and slip on the shades to see the invisible path. Since you can’t take the Moe-Eye with you, you’re going to have to memorize each of the three rooms. If you’re having trouble, use noticeable segments in the walls near the invisible platforms to try and remember where the platforms begin and end. Take note that Power Moon 55 is in the first room.
55. Skull Sign in the Transparent Maze
Head inside the Invisible Cave and walk along the invisible path. In the first room, stop near the skull sign and hit it with Cappy. Hold Cappy there and let him keep spinning to have a Power Moon appear.
56. The Bullet Bill Maze: Break Through
The top left corner of the Sand Kingdom has a small ruins with a door at the front. Break through with Cappy and head inside. Capture a Bullet Bill and soar through the opening in the wall ahead. Any mistake here will result in a dip in the poison water and ultimately your demise. So be careful!
Guide the Bullet Bill to the next platform. Don’t worry about losing your Bullet Bill, each platform has a nearby launcher. Get back into a Bullet Bill. Go right for some Purple Coins and left to continue the mission. Once you reach the platform near the spinning walls, you’ll have another two options. Go to the lower left to get Power Moon 57. Going through the spinning walls will take you to the current Power Moon. Just follow the spinning walls in the same direction they’re going in. Do the same for the second set of spinning walls and you’ll make it to your prize.
57. The Bullet Bill Maze: Side Path
In the Bullet Bill Maze, make it to the platform just before the spinning walls. Go to the lower left and guide the Bullet Bill through tight corners and narrow corridors. Controlling the direction can be a little strange, so practice before hand and make sure you have a good camera angle.
58. Jaxi Driver
Go to the Jaxi Ruins and hop on Jaxi. The east wall of the ruins has an opening in the purple poison. Ride Jaxi right into it to find yourself in an underground level. The ultimate goal is to make it to the end without falling off. There are three different sections with Purple Coins and you can also grab Power Moon 59.
Hop on Jaxi and use the moving platform to easily cross over the gap. When you reach the big and open area, feel free to jump off Jaxi at the center in case you need a moment and if you want to get the hidden Power Moon. Jump on Jaxi and position yourself by hitting the brakes. If you go on the narrow path on the right, you’ll get three Purple Coins and quick way to the end. Otherwise take the long path and make sure to brake around corners.
59. Jaxi Stunt Driving
Once you enter the underground portion of Jaxi Ruins, get to the big and open area and hop off Jaxi. Position yourself with Jaxi using the brakes so that you’re facing the music note on the right. Head straight for it and start collecting all the music notes neatly lined up in a row. When you get to the pole, hit the brakes and calmly reposition yourself to get the other row of notes. Get them all to have the Power Moon appear!
60. Strange Neighborhood
Available after completing all the main missions in the Sand Kingdom. There’s a small rocket on one of the rooftops in Tostarena. Capture it to send yourself flying into secret level. Rotating houses, okay! You’ll have to throw Cappy onto the scarecrow and go without him.
Cross over the bridge, then hop onto the house after it rotates once. Keep in mind that you can still run up the side of a house while it’s slanted, just be sure to jump before it goes vertical. Power Moon 61 can be grabbed near the Goombas. Hit the block for an extra heart, then go across the next two homes to reach the Power Moon.
