When Rob Gronkowski crashed Mike Evans’ post-game Super Bowl interview with NFL Network by saying, “Yo, he’s gotta turn up!,” it was a reminder of the fun side of Gronk. It’s a side that we primarily catch a glimpse of after we see the dominant side of Gronk — the one that we saw on the field in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.

Many doubted the former Patriot after he ended his one-year retirement and returned to the NFL this year, but the future Hall-of-Famer saved his best all-around game of the season for last, catching six passes (tied for a season high) for 67 yards (third most this year) and two TDs (tied for a season high). It was as if Tampa was saving him for this moment, and he delivered.
Of course, Tampa probably had some idea he could wreak havoc against Kansas City considering Gronkowski caught six-of-seven targets for 106 yards against the Chiefs in the regular season, but ultimately, the three-time Super Bowl champion gave us one more reminder that he might just be the best ever at his position (common theme on Sunday night, huh?). He also gave us two vintage, vicious “Gronk spikes” along the way.

Gronkowski certainly works well with Tom Brady, as the two set the record for postseason touchdown hook-ups in the first quarter when they connected for the 13th time. They later upped the ante to 14 with their second-quarter touchdown. Gronk also joined Jerry Rice as the only players in history with multiple touchdowns in multiple Super Bowls with his two scoring grabs in Super Bowl LV. He also did it against the Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
In 20 career postseason games, he’s caught 89 passes for 1,273 yards and 14 TDs. That includes 29 catches for 431 yards and five TDs in five Super Bowls.
At just 31, Gronk could feasibly come back and do it all again next year, already saying he’ll remain “unretired,” but we know he likes his leisure time, be it working as a studio host, wrestling, or simply partying.
He did the latter after winning another Super Bowl, even screaming the iconic line, “We’re going to Disney World!,” with his buddy Brady.

“We’re going to Disney World!” I would love to see that.

After his performance on Sunday night, why not? Let’s just hope Mickey, Goofy, and Donald are ready to “turn up.”
UPDATE: More Gronk partying:
