Following the tragic events at his Astroworld Festival in Houston, some of Travis Scott’s past social media posts are not aging well.
The “Sicko Mode” rapper has been under fire since eight people died and hundreds more were injured during his Nov. 5 concert in Houston. He’s since been named in a string of lawsuits — all essentially accusing him of negligence by continuing his concert as fans in the crowd were crushed by a wave of bodies.
Meanwhile, years-old pictures posted by the rapper — in which he seems to celebrate injuries sustained during his shows — resurfaced online.
An extremely graphic photo from March 2015 (see it here) shows a man — presumably a concertgoer — with blood streaming down his face from a cut near his eye.
“I love you,” Travis captioned the snap.
A few days later, he posted a photo of a man being tended to after he apparently fainted in the crowd.
“Last day of tour was tonight very wild. To that kid who blackout. Ur a hero,” Travis wrote in the caption.
Travis has apparently taken down several more now-viral posts including one showing a person unconscious at one of his concerts.
“TO THE KID THAT DIDNT SURVIVE THE RODEO. UR A HERO IN MU BOOK,” he captioned the photo from a 2015 concert in New York.
Another resurfaced video from 2015 that’s making waves online shows Travis spitting on a fan during a concert in Switzerland and repeatedly encouraging the crowd to beat up the fan for allegedly trying to steal the rapper’s shoes.
“Travis Scott can stop a concert because someone tried to steal his shoe but not when literal people are dying and some of yall are defending him?” one person tweeted while sharing the footage.
Additionally, a man named Kyle Green claimed in a 2017 lawsuit that he fell off a balcony during one of Travis’s concerts and was left paralyzed.
Travis has also been arrested twice for his bad behavior during concerts: in 2015 for encouraging fans to jump the barricades during his Lollapalooza performance and in 2017 for telling fans to rush the stage at an Arkansas concert.
In a 2015 interview with GQ, Travis said he likes chaos at his shows.
“I always want to make it feel like it’s the WWF or some s***,” he said. “You know, raging and having fun and expressing good feelings is something I plan on doing and spreading across the globe.”
