Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated in 1992 and their divorce didn’t come for another four years where Diana reportedly won a staggering £17million lump sum.
The late Princess also gained an additional £400,000 annual allowance.
Upon her death, Diana’s trust dictated that each son would inherit their share of the trust upon turning 30.
It was agreed the Princess could continue to be the owners of her apartments in Kensington Palace.

Though she grew richer by a few million post her separation from Prince Charles, she didn’t live long enough to enjoy her new wealth as she only lived for a year after the divorce.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Princess Diana had a net worth of £22million when she passed.
Princess Diana also added to her net worth with a staggering £21million of jewellery, dresses and other personal belongings.
While Prince William and Prince Harry inherited plenty of money, there were also some personal belongings of Diana’s which they received.

Today, William and Harry’s wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, both wear rings featuring stones of Diana’s and are often seen wearing the late Princess’ jewellery.
When Prince William proposed to Kate in 2010 he gave her a ring that previously belonged to the Princess which consists of 12-carat oval blue sapphire and a setting made from 18K white gold.
Diana was also known for her extensive charity work and was the patroness of organisations who worked with the homeless, youth, drug addicts, and the elderly.
