According to Comicbook, Pokémon Go’s ‘Season of Mischief’ will be coming to an end soon, but before it ends they will be offering Pokémon trainers an opportunity to unlock Hoopa’s ultimate form, Hoopa Unbound. This Pokémon Go event ties in nicely with their three-month run exploring the ins and outs of Hoopa, the Psychic/Ghost-type Mythical Pokémon.
Hoopa Unbound Event
First things first, you’re going to need to get access to the ‘Mischief Unbound’ special research quest. This can be done either one of two ways: Spend some real dough and buy access through the in-game shop. Or, if you don’t subscribe to the pay-2-play mindset then all you gotta do is grind the 16-part ‘Misunderstood Mischief’ event. Below are the three steps that are available to unlock Hoopa Unbound:
Mischief Unbound: Step 1 – Rewards: Incense, Poffin, 3 Golden Razz Berries
- Take a snapshot of Hoopa: 1,000 Stardust
- Catch 20 Pokemon: Lucky Egg
- Spin 3 PokeStops or Gyms – 3,000 X
Mischief Unbound: Step 2 – Rewards: Incense, Super Incubator, 3 Silver Pinap Berries, ability to change Hoopa forms (Hoopa Unbound)
- Make 7 Curveball Throws in a row – 1.500 Stardust
- Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokémon – 1 Star Piece
- Complete 10 Field Research Tasks – 3,000 XP
Mischief Unbound: Step 3 – Rewards: 50 Hoopa Candies, 10,000 Stardust, Hoopa T-Shirt Avatar item
- Earn 7 Hearts with your buddy – 2,000 Stardust
- Catch 20 different species of Pokémon – 3 Premium Raid Passes
- Win 3 raids – 4,000 XP
After you finally unlock the ultimate form and you want to use Hoopa Unbound, you will have to fork over 50 Hoopa Candies and 10,000 Stardust.
Other notable perks that will be going on through the event are double catch candy and double transfer candy bonuses, new raid hours featuring Legendary Pokemon like Articuno, Entei, Heatran, Regice, Registeel, and Suicune, just to name a few.
