5/1 EDIT: Added two new recipes.
A quickie I made this morn. I don’t like sheep in Minecraft because they only drop wool – nothing else, just wool. I like squids even less, not just because I’m a Sky Army recruit but also because they’re harder to access in vanilla (you have to dive underwater and risk drowning to get to them). So I made some meat drops for both of them, raw and cooked.
And now I’ve added two more cooked meat items. I’m sure cooked zombie flesh has been suggested before, but cooked spider eyes? Probably not… When killed, sheep drop 1-2 Lambchops, which have the same properties as raw porkchops and beef. For those not in the know, they heal 3 food units with 1.8 hunger saturation when raw, and 4 food units with 12.8 hunger saturation when cooked. Notice that raw lamb chops are brighter red than raw porkchops, but not as deep red as raw beef; likewise, cooked lamb chops are darker brown than cooked porkchops, but not as dark brown as steak. When killed, squid drop 2-4 Calamari, which is slightly better than fish in terms of hunger restoration. When raw, it heals 2 food units with 2 hunger saturation; when fried, it heals 6 food units with 8 hunger saturation. Raw calamari can also be made into a type of sushi, but I’ll get to that later. It’ll also give Sky Army recruits (like me) another reason to kill squids. XP Rotten Flesh can be cooked into, well, Cooked Flesh. It restores the same health and saturation as regular Rotten Flesh (4 food units and .8 saturation), only without the risk of food poisoning. Similarly, Spider Eyes can be cooked into, well, Cooked Spider Eyes. Again, they restore the same health as regular Spider Eyes (2 food units and 3.2 saturation), except without the poison status ailment.
