XML stands for eXtensible Markup Language – Extensible Markup Language. The HTML standard is a version of XML used to create web pages in the browser. The advantage of XML is that we can use any tag we want and arrange it in any way. Many different document formats are based on the XML standard, such as the DOCX file that Microsoft Word uses. XML files can be viewed easily across browsers, but each browser treats XML data differently. You can open an XML file stored on a web page or browse it on your computer.
