Use BCC correctly. Bcc is a great choice for those who want to communicate privately. If you simply use the “To” field, and the CC field to send a message to multiple people, everyone on the list gets the other recipients’ identities. Although this function is quite convenient when sending group messages, it can be a bit annoying if the recipients do not know each other.

  • Not only does it publish a list of the same recipients of the message, it also opens a whole window to receive feedback, but most of the responses are unrelated to the other recipients making them uncomfortable — worse. , it facilitates spam to attack your mailbox.
  • For example, you email some important people in your workgroup, and want to update the progress of others, but want to quietly let higher management keep track of what you are sending, enter all names. everyone in the group enters the field behind “TO”; Enter the names of all those who follow but are not directly involved in the conversation in the following field Cc:; Finally, enter the names of all the people you want to invite to the chat without notifying them in the Bcc field. You can manually enter your address in the Bcc: field to receive a copy of all messages you have sent.
  • Enter the addresses of all “hidden” users after the Bcc: field. No one will see the other recipient’s name, this is the best way to protect the privacy of the messages you send.

And finally mailing.

Note. All in all, Bcc is very useful, but it’s still not the most perfect way to secure your messages. Some email servers will treat Bcc messages differently, which means that the Bcc function will be useless. The email server will probably send a list of your Bcc recipients at the top of the message. Look up how to deal with each server, and consult the online community to be sure the server you choose will keep the recipient list secure. Your Bcc.
  • Advice

    • When sending a new letter, it is more convenient to put your name after “To”. The response will then be sent directly to your inbox.
    • Alternatively, if you don’t want the recipient to reply to your message, create an Email address so that the response will be sent straight to the trash. Here is an example noreply@your_company.com
    • In Outlook Express, there is another way to enter mail addresses (To:, Cc: and Bcc:). Click on the small “Address Book” icon on the left to format the address you want to send, as well as To:, Cc: and Bcc:. When the contacts book opens, double-click the addresses to select, they will automatically jump into your options box.
    • CC: stands for copy carbon (carbon copy) including other recipient addresses. Usually they are not directly related to the message body, but it is better to read through it.
    • TO: direct email recipients.

    Warning

    • Any address entered after the TO: field will be visible to all recipients.
    • All Email addresses entered after the CC: field will be visible to all recipients.
