Regardless of whether your presentation is stored on your hard drive or in the cloud, you can easily upload it to SlideShare. After you log in to Slideshare.net, click “Upload”, then select “Select files to upload” if the file is saved on your computer or “Upload files from the cloud” (Upload files from a cloud service) if the file is saved on Google Docs, Box, Dropbox, Gmail, or OneDrive. After uploading a file, you can choose to keep the file private or share it with the world.

  • For example, if your slide show teaches preschoolers to read, you would add the following tags: children, literacy, reading, education.
  • You will notice a longer green “Discoverability Score” bar as you add cards. The longer the bar, the easier it will be for others to find your slideshow. If the slideshow is public, you need to make the bar filled with green.

Watch the slideshow from anywhere. Your slideshow is now uploaded to SlideShare and accessible from anywhere. After you sign in to SlideShare, do the following:

Select a cloud service in the left toolbar. Besides Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, and OneDrive cloud services, you’ll also see a Gmail option and a “Link (URL)” option. When you click on the name of a service, you will see a “Connect to [service]” button.

  • If your slideshow was sent with an email in your Gmail account, you would select “Gmail”. Emails with attachments must be in your inbox.
  • If the slideshow is uploaded to another place (such as your personal website) and is accessible by URL, select “Link (URL)”. If you select this option, you won’t see a button at all – a URL path field instead.
