How to Turn Off iCloud Music Library

This wiki page will show you how to turn off iCloud Music Library on your iPhone, iPad, or computer. iCloud Music Library is only available if you subscribe to Apple Music, and turning it off will remove all songs downloaded from Apple Music from the current item (for example, your iPhone).

If you don’t see the “iCloud Music Library” option here, you’re not subscribed to Apple Music and therefore can’t turn off (or turn on) iCloud Music Library.

Click OK when prompted. This will confirm your decision and turn off iCloud Music Library. Apple Music will be removed from iPhone; you can re-download it at any time by re-enabling iCloud Music Library.

Open iTunes. Tap or double-click the iTunes app icon, which looks like a multicolored musical note on a white background.

If prompted to install an update, install it before continuing.

Click the General tab. This tab is at the top of the Preferences window.

If the box is unchecked, iCloud Music Library will be disabled on the computer.
If you don’t see this box, iCloud Music Library isn’t available on your account.

Click OK . This option is located at the bottom of the Preferences window. This will save your changes and remove all saved songs from Apple Music from your library.
