Thrush is caused by a fungus called candida. The medical name of this disease is candida thrush. Candida is the body’s natural organism, but when it’s out of balance, it allows fungal cells to grow. Candidiasis causes a white mucus coating on the tongue and inside of the cheeks. These plaques can spread to other parts of the body such as the throat, gums, oral cavity, and even the esophagus. When you have thrush, you need medical treatment or self-treatment at home.
Steps
