Dip a corner of the towel in hot water. Only use the corner of the towel to wet the intersection of the eyebrows so that the whole face is not wet.

  • Another option is to pluck the intersection of your eyebrows immediately after getting out of the shower. Warm water and steam from the shower will help open the pores.

Apply the wet part of the towel to the area to be removed. Keep it like that until it cools down completely. Apply like this two or three times. Hot water will open the pores, making it easier and less painful to pluck your eyebrows.

Stand in front of the mirror. You should use a magnifying mirror if you have one. The magnifying mirror will help you see each eyebrow you want to pluck, but it is not necessary; A normal mirror is enough to see clearly if you stand close.

{“smallUrl”:”https://www.wikihow.com/images_en/thumb/2/2d/Get-Rid-of-a-Unibrow-Step-4-Version-5.jpg/v4-728px-Get- Rid-of-a-Unibrow-Step-4-Version-5.jpg”,”bigUrl”:”https://www.wikihow.com/images/thumb/2/2d/Get-Rid-of-a- Unibrow-Step-4-Version-5.jpg/v4-728px-Get-Rid-of-a-Unibrow-Step-4-Version-5.jpg”,”smallWidth”:460,”smallHeight”:345,” bigWidth”:728,”bigHeight”:546,”licensing”:”<div class=”mw-parser-output”></div>”}
Start plucking in the area between the eyebrows. Pinch from the inside out on the part of the eyebrow you want to remove. If there is a hair that is too difficult to pull, use your other hand to stretch the skin in that position. Be careful not to pluck too many eyebrows. Step back from the mirror every now and then to look back and determine how much more is left to spit.

  • To determine where the tip of the eyebrow should be plucked, hold the tweezers upright so that one end of the tweezers reaches the widest part of the nose, the other is up to the eyebrow. Where the tweezers touch on the eyebrow, that is the eyebrow tip that you need to leave.
  • To find the position of the eyebrow arch, hold the tweezers horizontally close to the bridge of the nose, then rotate the tweezers at an angle of 45 degrees. The place the tip of the tweezers points to is where you should create the eyebrow arch.
  • To find the tail of the eyebrow, you will hold the tweezers diagonally at a 45-degree angle, starting from the inner corner of the eye up to the eyebrow.

Trim your eyebrows if you want. Start from the bottom of the current eyebrow and gradually trim upwards. As above, it’s a good idea to step back from time to time and look in the mirror to make sure you don’t lose too much of your brows.

  • Try to create an arc for the eyebrows. For more information on eyebrow plucking, read up on tutorials on how to pluck eyebrows.

Apply antibacterial soap and a soothing lotion when you’re done plucking your brows. Aloe has a good effect. Antibacterial soap will ensure that the newly plucked pores are not infected with bacteria (leading to pimples.)

  • If the eyebrow area is red or puffy after plucking, you should rub ice cubes on it to reduce redness and swelling. You can also use a washcloth dipped in cold water, or carefully dab some hydrocortisone cream on the brow area. [1] X Research Source

Buy a home waxing kit. The Wax Hair Removal Kit includes everything you need to get rid of those pesky brows. You will use warm or cold wax to remove the hair at the root. The results of waxing are maintained longer than plucking with tweezers.

  • Another option is to use a hair removal patch. This is the best way for those who are new to waxing for the first time. You just need to press the wax-ready patch on the area you want to remove hair, rub the patch down, use your fingers to hold the surrounding skin and quickly peel the patch off.
  • Waxing is very effective, but also very painful. If you have sensitive skin, you should consider applying a bit of numbing cream to the area you intend to wax before you begin this procedure. [2] X Research Source

Warm the wax. Follow the instructions on the package to ensure correct use. Normally, you can warm the wax in the microwave, but it should only be for 30-60 seconds. Stir until the wax is completely melted.

Apply wax to the area you want to wax. If you ask someone to do it for you, it will be much easier than doing it yourself. But surely you can do it yourself if you look in the mirror and be careful. If you accidentally put wax on the parts you don’t want to wax, wash it off and do it again.

  • Hold a small brush or pencil upright against the widest part of the nose. The intersection of the pencil and the eyebrow is the starting point of the eyebrow. Measure both sides to see the part of the eyebrow that intersects to be removed. [3] X Research Sources

Wait for the wax to solidify. You should follow the product’s specific instructions for how long to wait before removing the patch. Depending on the type of wax, the waiting time may take about 1 minute. The wax should cool when you touch the outside of the patch.

  • This time too, you should ask someone to do it, it will be much easier.

Peel off the sticker. Use one hand to hold the skin around the patch, the other hand to peel off the patch with a quick and smooth motion like removing a bandage.

  • Look in the mirror to check before removing the sticker. If some hairs are still left; you can use tweezers to pluck each strand.

Buy depilatory cream. You can find this cream at the drugstore. This is a hair removal cream that is safe to use on the face. This method is also suitable for those who are afraid of the pain of plucking or waxing. Note that this method only removes hair at the surface, while waxing and tweezers can remove hair at the root. This also means that your intersecting eyebrows will grow back faster if you use hair removal cream. [5] X Research Sources

Test it on your skin first to see if the cream causes irritation. Dab a little cream on the back of your hand or something. Leave it on for the time directed on the package (usually about 2 minutes), then rinse off the cream. If your skin is very red or uncomfortable, it is best not to apply this cream on your face. If it’s just a little red or no reaction, you can get started! [6] X Research Sources

  • To know where to start, use an eyeliner pencil or small brush to find the intersection of the vertical line from the outside of the nose to the eyebrow. Remember to measure both sides of the nose. The distance between the two measured points will be the area where you will wax. [8] X Research Sources

  • However, if the mixture has not turned brown and bubbled, your product will be too liquid and ineffective.

Apply hydrocortisone cream. Dab a pea-sized amount of hydrocortisone cream on the waxed area to soothe irritation. [18] X Research Source You can also cool your skin by applying a small ice pack and applying an antibacterial cream to minimize the risk of breakouts or ingrown hairs.
  • Advice

    • If you don’t want to do the above methods yourself, go to a salon to have your eyebrows waxed professionally.
    • There are permanent hair removal methods, such as laser hair removal. However, this method is very expensive and requires an expert to perform.
    • Electrolysis is also a way to permanently remove hair, but needs to be done by a professional.
    • Be careful not to apply the cloth and wax too close to the brow line.

    Warning

    • Some depilatory creams can cause irritation. You should always test it on the back of your hand or somewhere else on your skin before applying it to your face.
    • When warming up wax, test it on the inside of your wrist first before applying it to your face. Use baby oil to clean the wax. If the wax is too hot, wait until it cools down before using it.
