Steps
Wash your face the right way
- Do not rub your skin vigorously when washing your face so as not to irritate the skin. Just apply cleanser and let it sit for 1 minute or so.
Using Popular Natural Methods for Acne
- See detailed instructions for how to use and apply tea tree oil.
- However, some people will be allergic to tea tree oil. Before using it on your face, try putting 1 drop of tea tree oil on an area of your skin like your arms or legs. Then wait a few hours. If you see a rash, you may be allergic or sensitive to the oil and should avoid using it on your face.
- Absolutely do not swallow tea tree oil because it becomes toxic when digested.
- Wash your face as usual.
- Squeeze a large lemon into a bowl until it has 2 tablespoons of juice. You can use 2 lemons if needed. Note that only water is squeezed from fresh lemons, do not use lemon juice sold at the store because there are often preservatives that cause skin irritation.
- Use a cotton ball or cotton swab to apply lemon juice to the pimple.
- If you do this during the day, leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash your face with cold water. If you do it at night, leave it on and go to sleep, then wash your face with cold water the next morning.
- You should wash off the lemon juice before going out in the sun to avoid sunburn.
- Before applying honey on acne, dab a little on the jawline area. Wait about 30 minutes to see if you have an allergic reaction. If so, don’t apply honey to the pimple.
- You can use honey in two ways. Dab on pimples or apply honey all over face like a mask.
- Rinse the honey off with cold water after 30 minutes or you can leave it on longer if you want.
- You can also add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to honey for added antibacterial properties and speed up facial circulation.
- Thoroughly rinse a glass bottle to preserve apple cider vinegar. Use hot water and soap to clean. Washing with alcohol or bleach can leave chemicals, which is not good for facial skin.
- Put 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup of water in a bottle. Close the lid and shake the mixture well.
- Use a cotton pad to apply toner on acne.
- Store the mixture in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.
- You can also use pure apple cider vinegar without dilution, but this is not recommended. Apple cider vinegar is quite strong and can cause irritation if not diluted. If the water and apple cider vinegar mixture is irritating, add more water to dilute it more.
- Mix 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Stir the mixture.
- Apply the mixture on your face.
- Leave on for 15 minutes then rinse with cold water.
- Remember that turmeric will make the skin yellow, especially if you leave it on overnight. Look for instructions on how to remove saffron from your skin.
- Cut a small tomato in half.
- Apply half a tomato that has just been cut onto the acne-affected skin. Discard the tomatoes when done.
- Gently massage your face for a few seconds.
- Then wash face with warm water.
- Do it twice a day for the best effect, you can use the remaining half of a tomato for the next time.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of sea salt with 3 teaspoons of warm water.
- Stir until all the salt has dissolved.
- Add 1 teaspoon of honey and stir well.
- Apply this mixture on your face when it has cooled down. If you only want to apply it on the acne, use a cotton swab to make it easier to dot.
- Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes. Avoid leaving it on for longer as your skin will dry out.
- Then wash your face with cold water.
- Apply a moisturizing product. Sea salt can dry out the skin, so applying a moisturizer is important for healthy skin.
- Wash your face as directed in Part 1 but do not apply moisturizer.
- Take 3 eggs and separate the whites from the yolks.
- Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice if desired. This will help push the blackheads and whiteheads up.
- Beat egg whites until foamy.
- Next, apply it evenly on your face and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
- Now it’s time to apply moisturizer.
- Take 1 tablespoon of unsweetened yogurt and apply it evenly on your face.
- Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
- You can do this every day.
Using Popular Chemicals at Home to Treat Acne
- Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with a few drops of water. Stir until mixture thickens.
- Apply a thick paste on the acne-affected skin.
- Let it sit for about 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
- Next, apply moisturizer on your face as baking soda can dry out the skin.
- Before applying this method, apply a small amount to your jawline or other skin on your face. Wait a few minutes and see if you have an allergic reaction. If so, discontinue use immediately.
- Dab some white toothpaste on the pimple.
- Let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Then, rinse with warm water.
- Take a low dose of aspirin, usually 2 tablets (81mg each) and put it in a bowl. Then grind it into a powder.
