Search for “Print Screen” key ⎙ PrtScr . The “Print Screen” key is located in the upper-right corner of the keyboard, next to the Delete key.

  • If your keyboard has a number pad on the right, you’ll find the prt sc key to the left of the top row of keys in the number pad area.
  • Note that the word “prt sc” (or something similar) can be at the top or bottom of the key. If it’s at the bottom of the key, below another letter, you’ll probably need to use the Fn key as well.

Find the “Windows” key ⊞ Win . This key with the Windows logo is usually located in the lower right corner of the keyboard.

Look for the Fn key if needed. If the text “prt sc” is at the bottom of the key and below some other text rather than at the top of the key, you’ll need to use the Fn key to force the computer to use the screen capture feature.

  • Usually you will find the Fn key in the lower left corner of the keyboard.
