You are trying to access a file or website but it is blocked by survey sites. Surveys are how marketers gather information, and a lot of websites use them to make money. If you do not want to enter the information, you will have to find a way to bypass these surveys. Sometimes without taking a survey you can’t get to the site you want, but it’s still better anyway than giving your personal information to a strange site.

Using NoScript

Install the NoScript extension. This utility will block scripts on running web pages. It won’t block all surveys, but will work for some. This extension is available for free on Firefox, but not on Chrome.

  • Click on the Firefox icon then on the Add-ons section. Enter the keyword “NoScript” in the search field, then add NoScript Security Suite to Firefox.

Block script to disable surveys. Depending on how the surveys are programmed, you may be able to use NoScript to skip them. When you load the page, you will see a bar appear at the bottom of the page. Click on Options to fine-tune what to block and ignore. [1] X Research Source

  • There is no guarantee that you can skip the survey using this method. If the file you’re trying to access requires a survey to be completed, then you won’t be able to access it.
  • Other script blockers are also available on Chrome, but they are not as powerful as NoScript on Firefox.

Install XJZ Survey Remover bookmarklet. This is an application software embedded in the browser through saving bookmarks. You visit the website with the survey, then click on the bookmark to remove the survey.

  • You can find the XJZ bookmarklet on the developer’s website. This application software is completely free. Just drag and drop this link into your browser’s bookmarks bar.

Visit a site with a survey. When the survey appears, click on the XJZ Survey Remover bookmark. The site will be restructured and if all goes well you will be able to access the content blocked by the survey. . [2] X Research Source

  • This app only works with surveys to block content. If you are trying to access content that will only load after completing the survey, this method will not work.
  • You can also install the XJZ Survey Removal utility in your browser, although it will cost you a small fee and is not guaranteed to work any better than the bookmark app.

Visit a website with a survey on Google Chrome. You need to download Chrome for the included developer tools. This allows you to scan the web for links, potentially finding the link you need without completing a survey.

  • This method only works when the download link or the web page you need to visit is at the same address as the survey site.

Find the link you want. After running the command, you will see a list of links on the web page. If the download or the page you need is also on this site, you can access it by clicking on the link.

Look for “survey” and “overlay” entries. As you highlight different sections of the screen, look for the words “survey” and “overlay” in the code. These are the elements that prevent you from accessing the content you want.
Image titled Skip Surveys Step 13

Image titled Skip Surveys Step 13

{“smallUrl”:”https://www.wikihow.com/images_en/thumb/1/17/Skip-Surveys-Step-13.jpg/v4-728px-Skip-Surveys-Step-13.jpg”,” bigUrl”:”https://www.wikihow.com/images/thumb/1/17/Skip-Surveys-Step-13.jpg/v4-728px-Skip-Surveys-Step-13.jpg”,”smallWidth” :460,”smallHeight”:345,”bigWidth”:728,”bigHeight”:546,”licensing”:”<div class=”mw-parser-output”></div>”}
Copy the part you just found into the conspe section. Copy and paste the following into the conspe entry then press the Enter key. urls = $$(‘a’); for (url in urls) conspe.log ( urls[url].href );

Repeat the above steps for all survey elements. In addition to automatically removing the survey, you’ll have to remove the overlay that’s blocking you from accessing the content below. Removing this overlay makes the site “lighter”, which allows you to access the content hidden behind. [3] X Research Sources

  • Removing the overlay may remove your scrollbars. You can use the mouse scroll bar to continue working.

Using Fake Information

{“smallUrl”:”https://www.wikihow.com/images_en/thumb/8/86/Skip-Surveys-Step-15.jpg/v4-728px-Skip-Surveys-Step-15.jpg”,” bigUrl”:”https://www.wikihow.com/images/thumb/8/86/Skip-Surveys-Step-15.jpg/v4-728px-Skip-Surveys-Step-15.jpg”,”smallWidth” :460,”smallHeight”:345,”bigWidth”:728,”bigHeight”:546,”licensing”:”<div class=”mw-parser-output”></div>”}
Find sources of fake information. If you cannot find a way to access the content, or the website is programmed that you are required to complete the survey, you can use fake information to fill out the survey.

  • One of the most popular websites is FakeNameGenerator.com, it allows you to create a complete fake identity including name, phone number, address, occupation and more.

    Fill out the survey with fake information. If you need an email address for authentication, create a free account, then you can go to your email and try the links sent to you.
  • Advice

    • You can search for extensions or extensions on Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer to compare features. Most of them only work on a case-by-case basis, as survey sites are often programmed specifically to deal with survey dropouts.

    Warning

    • If you are asked to take a survey to load content, as opposed to simply overlaying the content, in this case the tools will not be able to bypass the survey.
    • Be careful when downloading browser extensions and extensions because you may mistakenly download software that is harmful to your computer.
    • On some websites, when you try to delete an existing survey, a dialog box that says “Survey Bypass Detected” appears.
