Cleaning the trimmer

Screw on the blade. Find and tighten the screw that secures the blade to the trimmer. Most new trimmers will have 2 screws located on the bottom edge of the blade. After tightening these 2 screws, gently remove the blade and fixings (if any).

Use a magnetic holder to hold the blade (optional). Place the lower edge of the blade into the opening of the magnet holder so that the blade part is protruding. This will make it easier for you to sharpen without cutting your hand or dropping the blade.

As before, run each edge of the blade along the stone surface in one direction about 5-10 times and then wipe it off with a dry towel.
Reinstall the trimmer. Check to make sure that you install the blade in the correct position, distance and orientation. Then tighten the screw to secure the blade.
Lubricate the trimmer. This step is recommended every 2-3 uses, especially after the blade has just been sharpened. Add a few drops of oil to the blade to limit wear due to friction and overheating.
