How to Search for tweets by date on the app

Have you ever wanted to search for certain tweets since specific date? On the Twitter mobile app, you can filter or search for tweets by certain usernames and date ranges. This wikiHow teaches you these two methods of finding tweets.

Find tweets by date range

Click the Search button on the Twitter app. This option has a magnifying glass icon and is located in the bottom toolbar.

Enter the username and time in the search bar. Use the following syntax and customize your search: from:[username] since:YYYY-MM-DD until:YYYY-MM-DD. Where: the “from” parameter is used to find tweets posted by this user; “since” is used to find tweets posted since 12:00 am on this day; “until” (until) is used to find tweets posted until 12:00 am on this date; “YYYY” is the year, “MM” is the month and “DD” is the day.

For example, you can search for wikiHow tweets within a month of November 3, 2021 by typing “from:wikiHow since:2021-11-03 until:2021-12-03.”

Click the Search button located at the bottom right of the keyboard. All tweets posted by this user during the specified time period will be displayed.

Filter tweets in order

Enter keywords in the search bar. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen and enter the keywords that correspond to the tweet you’re looking for.

For example, if you want to see tweets about inspirational quotes, you can enter “inspirational words”, “quote of the day” or “quote of the day”, and so on.
