Open MS Word, Corel WordPerfect or OpenOffice documents. These options are basically word processors, so you can easily convert files to .txt format.

Click Save As . A new file manager window will open, where you can name and choose a format for the file before saving.

Enter a document name and select “Plain text (.txt)” from the “Save as type” drop-down menu. To change the file type of a specific program (like .docx in Word), you need to select “.txt” from the “save as type” list.
