You need to change the JPEG file size when you want to send multiple images to email or upload to a website. Resizing an image will slightly degrade the quality, and enlarging the original image size can blur the image. Make a copy of the image file. Before resizing in Paint, make a copy so as not to affect the original file. If you keep the original file, you can edit it again if you are not satisfied with the result.

Use the “Resize” field to resize the image. You can choose to resize in percentages or pixels. If you select “Pixels” you can enter the exact size you want to change. Or enter a percentage greater than “100” to enlarge the original image.

By default, Paint will maintain the aspect ratio, just enter a value in 1 field, the software will automatically calculate the remaining field. Drag the edges to fit the photo to the new size. The image will resize, but the edges will remain the same size. Click and drag the box around the edges to resize and remove white space.
