How to Report Someone on Facebook

This wikiHow teaches you how to report a user account on Facebook. You can do this on the mobile app and the Facebook page on your computer. If this user posts content that is offensive or offensive to you, you can report the post instead.

Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook app in the shape of a white “f” on a blue background. Your News Feed or News Feed will open if you’re already signed in.

If you’re not logged into Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) and password to continue.

Go to the page of the person you want to report. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen, enter the name of the person you want to report, tap their name, and then tap their profile picture.

Or, you can find and click their name in the News Feed.
You can also report a business or celebrity page, but these reporting options are quite different.

Click More . This option is located near the top of the user’s page, just below and to the right of the user’s name.

Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ using a web browser on your computer. The News Feed page will appear if you are already logged in.

Advice

All reports are kept confidential. The person you report to will not know that you are the one who reported them.
If you see something you don’t like (doesn’t violate the Facebook Terms), you can hide it from News Feed, unfriend/block the person, or text them to ask for the post to be removed. down.

Non-violent users should not be reported. If you report a user when they have done nothing wrong by Facebook standards, you may lose access to your account.
