If after dyeing your eyebrows and notice that the color is a bit dark, you probably don’t know what to do. Don’t worry, the color will fade after the first week due to the skin’s natural oils and washings. However, if you are still not satisfied with your eyebrows after a week, you can actively remove the dye layer. Try washing your brows with a deep-cleansing shampoo or a mixture of baking soda and shampoo. You can also apply toner (also known as toner, toner) or lemon juice to your brows to tone them down.

Massage your brows with a deep cleansing shampoo. Deep-cleansing shampoos are designed to remove build-up from your hair, so you can use it to wash away color from your brows. However, be careful not to get the shampoo in your eyes. Use an eyebrow brush or a new brush and brush so that the deep cleansing shampoo penetrates the brows. After 60 seconds, wipe off and then wash your face as usual to clear any build-up.

Apply a mixture of baking soda and shampoo in a 1:1 ratio. Mix 1 part baking soda with 1 part regular shampoo in a small bowl. Stir until mixture thickens. Use a foundation brush to apply this mixture on the eyebrows. After a few minutes, rinse the mixture carefully so as not to get in the eyes. You can repeat this process if necessary.

Apply lemon juice to your eyebrows. In the morning, squeeze some lemon juice on a cotton pad and wipe your brows. Be careful not to get the lemon juice in your eyes. Leave the lemon juice on your eyebrows all day, wash it off at night. Spend some time outside and let the sunlight speed up the fading process of the lime juice.

Wipe your eyebrows with a facial toner. Facial toners (such as witch hazel) are available in supermarkets or beauty stores. Dab a little toner on a cotton pad and gently wipe over your brows to lighten the color. You can do it whenever needed, but keep in mind that toners contain alcohol, so the skin under your brows can dry out. [1] X Research Source

Try using eyebrow gel to lighten the color of your hair. Choose an eyebrow gel that is at least one shade lighter than your brow color. Use an eyebrow brush to lightly brush the gel on the eyebrows. You need to brush over the entire eyebrow so that the color is even. Wait for the gel to dry and repeat the process if you want your brows to look even lighter.

Use facial bleach as a last resort. It’s best to leave it to a professional instead of doing it yourself. Go to a hair or beauty salon and ask your stylist to apply facial bleach to your brows to lighten the color. This is a first aid medicine in the form of a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide. The stylist will put a few drops of this solution on a cotton pad and gently wipe your brows to remove the dye layer.

  • Be careful not to get bleach in your eyes.

Clean the dye on the skin

Use makeup remover. Sometimes eyebrows look too bold because the dye has penetrated the skin instead of just working on the eyebrows. In this case, you need to choose an oil or gel makeup remover to remove the dye from the skin. Dip a cotton ball in makeup remover and gently wipe the skin under your eyebrows. You will see the color seep from the skin to the cotton wool.

  • Be careful not to get the makeup remover in your eyes.

Apply dye bleach to your hands. Some eyebrow tinting kits include a color remover in case the dye gets on your hands. Read the instructions for use carefully, as color dyes are not usually intended for the face or eyebrows. Dip a small amount of this solution on a cotton pad and then apply it to the contaminated skin. After the color has faded, proceed to wash with soap and warm water to remove any remaining bleach from the skin.

Brush the stained area with toothpaste. If the eyebrow dye gets on your skin, you can use toothpaste to clean it. Apply a small amount of non-gel toothpaste to a new brush. Brush onto soiled skin to remove dye. Repeat this process if necessary. Then, wash off the toothpaste and clean the upper skin again with warm soapy water.

Try a facial or body scrub. Products like soaps or scrubs for the face or body will help you remove the dye from your skin. First, wet the affected area and then apply a small amount of soap or exfoliating cream. Brush and rinse, then repeat until color fades. If applying on the face, you must use the right exfoliator specifically for this delicate area, and do not let the chemical get into the eyes.

Use nail polish remover if you get the dye on your hands or arms. If the dye gets on your hands, arms or other skin than your face, you can use nail polish remover. Soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol and gently wipe the stained area. You may need to repeat this step several times for the dye to wear off. Then, wash off nail polish remover or alcohol with soap and warm water.

Apply WD-40 all-purpose cleaner to the stained area (except the face). WD-40 should not be applied to the face, but only to the hands, arms, etc. Spray a small amount of WD-40 on a cotton ball and wipe it over the skin to be cleaned. After the color has faded, do not forget to wash the upper skin thoroughly to clean the remaining WD-40 solution, avoiding irritation to the skin.
