Cydia is an app that allows jailbroken iOS devices to find and download apps or tweaks specifically for jailbroken devices. If you don’t want to use Cydia anymore, you can uninstall or completely remove the jailbreak from your device. If you don’t like Cydia, just uninstall the app. If you plan to bring your device to an Apple center, remove the jailbreak completely to avoid voiding your warranty.

Open Cydia. You can remove Cydia from your device and still keep the jailbreak. Without Cydia, the device won’t be able to boot into safe mode when something goes wrong with the jailbreak.

Click the “Modify” button in the upper right corner and select “Remove”. This item will be added to the uninstall queue.

Click “Continue Queuing” to choose to add more packages to the uninstall queue.

Repeat this process until you have selected all the packages to delete. Return to the “Installed” tab once you’ve completed the queue.

Connect the iOS device to the computer. Use a USB cable to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to the computer. After you completely remove the jailbreak, the tweaks and apps will be removed from the device.

Open iTunes if the app doesn’t open on its own. We will use iTunes to back up and restore the device to factory settings, which will remove the jailbreak as well as all traces of Cydia. Your data is still there, only the data of jailbreak tweaks will be lost.
