This wikiHow teaches you how to remove Google Chrome from the app drawer on your Android phone or tablet. While it is not possible to completely remove Chrome because it is the default application on Android, you can remove the icon from the application (Apps) drawer.

and drop it on the Remove tab. This option will appear when you long press on the application icon. You can remove Chrome from the app drawer by dropping the icon on this option.

  • Depending on your Android device model and manufacturer, the Remove option will appear at the top or bottom of the screen. On some devices, this option may even be on the side.
  • If there is a pop-up menu when you long press on the Chrome icon, the Remove option will appear in it.
  • On some Android devices, you may see an option to Disable or Delete instead of Remove.

    Click OK or Remove in the confirmation dialog that pops up. After confirming the action, the Google Chrome icon will be removed from the Android Apps app drawer.

    • This only removes the Chrome icon from the Apps list. You cannot completely uninstall it because it is the default application.
    • On some Android devices, this step may be skipped automatically. The application icon will disappear as soon as you drop it on the Remove tab.
