Migraine attacks are often described as some of the most excruciating pain one has ever experienced. Migraines prevent people from thinking, working, resting, and living a normal life. You can do acupressure at home or ask a reflexologist to help relieve migraines.

Feng Chi (Feng Chi) acupoint. Phong Tri acupuncture point, also known as GB20 point, is a acupuncture point that often has the effect of treating migraines. This point is located just below the ear. To find the Fengzhi point, look for two depressions on the sides of the neck and the base of the skull. Press the points along the temporal region. The temporal region has a series of points running around the ear on the skull. These acupoints are located at a distance from the rim of the ear about the width of a knuckle (one cun). The first is the Hairline Curve (Hairline Curve), located right on the tip of the ear. Bigger Rushing acupressure. The Taichung point is located on the instep of the foot, between the thumb and index finger, and between the metatarsal bones. Correct use of acupressure means. This method requires pressure on the acupoints, so you need to make sure to use the correct means of acupressure. Recognize the symptoms of migraine headaches. Generally, migraine attacks occur on only one side of the head, most commonly in the forehead or temples. Recognize the red flags of an emergency headache. Any headache should be evaluated by a doctor. In some cases, a headache can be a sign that requires emergency care. These signs include: [18] X Research Source

  • Severe headache with fever and stiff neck. This could be a sign of meningitis.
  • Headache type “lightning”. A headache that comes on suddenly and is very intense can be a sign of a submeningeal hemorrhage, which is bleeding under the tissue that covers the brain and spinal cord.
  • Pain, sometimes pain in the temples according to the pulse. Especially when it occurs in the elderly and weight loss, this is a sign of a condition called giant cell arteritis.
  • Red eyes and seeing halos around lights. This could be a sign of glaucoma, which, if left untreated, can lead to permanent vision loss.
  • Sudden or severe headaches in cancer or immunocompromised patients, such as post-transplant patients and HIV-AIDS patients.
