There will be times when you need to recover browsing history to see what previous users visited, find lost URLs, or simply retrieve deleted information. Although browsing history can be deleted in the browser, Windows computers still store data in a cache and we can access it in many ways. The easiest way to find deleted history is through a Google account. Choose this method if you were signed in to your Google account during a browsing session that you want to review. Otherwise the process could be more complicated. Fortunately, you can still access the lost history stored in your computer’s built-in cache.

Open the “Start” menu and select “Run.” In the search bar, type “cmd” (without the quotes) and select “OK.” While browsing history can be deleted, the DNS cache still stores this information. Note: this method can be confusing because DNS caching doesn’t just save history from the browser, but includes everything related to the internet, such as applications. [1] X Research Source
