How To Play Fortnite Battle Royale Split Screen Mode

Follow these easy steps to start a split screen session in Fortnite Battle Royale:

1. Navigate to the Fortnite main menu with one controller connected to your console.
2. Connect a second controller to the same console
3. Player one needs to invite the second controller player to sign into a secondary account with a Fortnite account linked.
4. When Player two signs in they will join the lobby, and Fortnite split screen will be automatically enabled.

If you’re having trouble with split screen automatically enabling ensure your internet connection is stable. Fortnite split screen requires a stable internet connection to function properly, so if your internet is weak or disconnected Fortnite split screen mode will not work.

Another reason why you may have trouble playing split screen is because you have different language settings. To use the split screen function both players must have the same language setting.

We should also not, split screen will not work in the Fortnite main menu. The only way to know if split screen is working properly is to hop into a game session of Fortnite Duos or Squads.

What Game Modes Can You Play Fortnite Split Screen in Fortnite?

Similar to the restriction of two modes, there are only two types of consoles that allow Fortnite split screen. You can only play slit screen on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

How Many Players Can Split Screen in Fortnite?
