Normally, to open a CD/DVD drive, you just need to press the button on the drive or the function key on the keyboard depending on the type of computer. Pop the drive out with a paper clip

Unplug the power cord from the back of the computer.

Remove the cover on the side of the computer by:

Unplug the drive power cable. Wait at least five seconds.
