How to Mark an Alien Parasite in Fortnite

Week 11 in Fortnite’s Season 7 is here, and with it comes a whole new set of challenges for players to gain XP. This week, there seems to be a focus when it comes to those pesky alien parasites around the map, with one of them requiring you to mark an alien parasite.

Alien parasites are relatively easy to find around the map, either roaming around freely or within their eggs. As a new mechanic introduced in Season 7, alien parasites will float and try to attach themselves onto the player’s head, reducing them to an HP limit of 60 while also greatly enhancing their movement capabilities. Should players not want these changes, parasites can be shot while in the air or removed from the player with water, fire, or by entering a prop.

Fortnite: How to Mark an Alien Parasite

Now for the challenge itself, which isn’t that difficult. Players should not be confused between Parasite Eggs and the Parasites themselves, as marking Parasite Eggs was a challenge featured in an earlier week this season. The actual Parasites themselves need to be marked, which is different between platforms.

To mark an alien on the PC version of Fortnite, use your mouse and aim at a Parasite, then click the mouse scroll button to mark it. For those playing on console, aim the camera at the parasite and click the left D-pad button. Mobile players will have to aim at the parasite and press the Map Marker on the HUD. Only one marked Parasite is required to complete the challenge.

Week 11 challenges are now available for players to take on, with this quest yielding 30,000 XP.
