One of the first things you should think about doing in Terraria is making a bed. Beds are essential in this game. They look great, add to a room, and will allow you to set your respawn point! If you ever want to move away from your initial spawn area, this is the best way to do it. However, Terraria is not quick to tell you exactly what you need to do! How to Make Silk in Terraria

In order to make Silk in Terraria, you’ll need to gather seven cobwebs and craft them at a loom. The loom will require 12 Wood, and can be made at a Sawmill. Sawmills will require 10 Wood, two Iron, and one Chain. Once you have all of these in your home, you can make Silk!

So, to recap. If you want to make Silk, you’ll need:

• A Workbench, made from 10 Wood
• A Furnace, made from 20 Stone, four Wood, and three Torches
• A Sawmill
• A Loom

With that out of the way, you can begin crafting. The Silk recipe itself calls for seven Cobwebs. Your next stop after that is likely obvious: craft a bed. You can combine five Silk with 15 Wood to make a bed. This is important for setting your spawn point. You can have multiple beds, but only one will be your “active” bed, and will be where you respawn if you die.

Silk is otherwise a cosmetic item, used in crafting different items to decorate your home with. There are also quite a few clothing items that will require silk. This is great to farm for vanity!
