How to make braised tofu
Step 1Process materials
Tofu you buy, cut into small squares to eat. 3 purple onions you wash, cut into small pieces. 2 green onions , washed and finely chopped.
Step 2Fried tofu
You put the pan on the stove, add 50ml of cooking oil . When the pan is hot, add each piece of tofu cut and fry until golden brown on medium heat for about 10 minutes , then remove to a plate.
Note: You should add a little more oil to make the tofu more crispy when frying.
Step 3Make braised tofu
Put 1 tablespoon of oil in another pan. When the oil is hot, add ½ teaspoon of sugar to the pan and stir gently.
When the sugar has turned the color of cockroach wings , turn off the heat and add the purple onions and sauté for about 1 minute. Next, turn on the stove for 2 tablespoons of vegetarian fish sauce, 6 tablespoons of filtered water into the pan and cook for another 10 minutes.
You can add 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of chili sauce depending on your taste.
Finally, put the tofu into the stock and thicken for 5 minutes, when almost cooked , sprinkle with sliced green onions and 1 more chili and you’re done.
