Wash your hands often. Trim pubic hair. Shaving your pubic hair can make your skin itchy, irritated, or prone to ingrown hairs or folliculitis.   • Soak in a hot tub or shower for a few minutes to soften fur and skin.
  • Use a safety razor (do not use a straight blade or disposable razor), preferably one with a lubricating groove.
  • Pull the skin tight and flat, shave in the direction of hair growth – remember to be gentle, do not press hard.
  • Rinse with warm water, pat skin dry, and apply baby oil, aloe vera, or a fragrance-free moisturizer.

Keep contact lenses clean. If you wear contact lenses, it’s important to keep them as clean as possible to prevent eye inflammation.
