The Administrator can make changes that affect other users on the computer. They can change security settings, install and uninstall software, access all the files on the computer, and even change the settings of other users. When you start Windows 10 for the first time, you will be directed to set up your first user account at the administrator level. However, the system also creates many other accounts: Guest and Admin. Search for “cmd” in the Start menu search bar. You can also open the search bar by pressing the key combination ⊞ Win + S . You need to use the command prompt to activate and use the administrator account.

Type net user administrator /active:yes and press ↵ Enter . You will see a login confirmation message. If you don’t see the message, you may have entered the wrong command. The default administrator account on Windows 10 is now activated, but there is no password protection.

Exit the current login session. You can access the “Sign out” option from your profile picture in the Start menu.
