How to Login to Facebook

Are you looking to join the Facebook community? To start using Facebook, we need an account. You’ll then be able to log into your Facebook profile on any computer and mobile device, anywhere in the world. Check out Step 1 below to find out.

On the computer

Open the Facebook home page. Use a web browser and navigate to the Facebook homepage. If you are not logged in, a welcome screen will appear.

Enter your email address. In the upper right corner of the Facebook page there is a data field for the email address. Enter the email address you used to create your Facebook account.

You can also sign in with your phone number if you’re already linked to an account.

Enter password. You need to type the password you created to log in. If you forgot your password, click the “I forgot my password” link below the login data field.

Choose whether you want to stay signed in. If you’re using a personal computer, consider checking the “Keep me logged in” box. In the future, you will no longer need to log in and will be taken immediately to the message board. If you are using a public or shared computer, avoid checking this box for security.

Click “Log In”. You will be immediately taken to your feed. If you turn on login verification, you’ll need to enter the code Facebook sends to your phone.

On mobile devices

Download the Facebook app. Most smartphones and tablets can download the Facebook app from the app store corresponding to the device. This application will allow you to log in to Facebook without going through a browser.

If you don’t want to use the app, you can use your phone’s browser and go to the Facebook homepage.

Open the app. Find and tap the app on your phone’s home screen to open it.

Enter your email address and password. You will be asked to enter your email address and password the first time you open the app. Use the email address you used to create your Facebook account. If you forgot your password, click the link below the login boxes and follow the instructions to reset it.

You will be automatically signed in the next time you open the app. If you don’t want to stay logged in, you need to go to the menu to log out of the app.
