Reset the Netgear router if the credentials don’t work. This will restore everything to its original factory settings, and also reset the username and password.

  • Power on the router and find the “Restore Factory Settings” button on the side or back of the router.
  • Use a pen or paperclip to hold down the “Restore Factory Settings” button for at least 7 seconds until the “Power” light starts blinking.
  • Release your hand and wait for the router to reboot. The Power light will stop flashing and remain green or white.
  • Repeat steps 2 through 4 in Part 1 to log in to the Netgear router. [2] X Research Source
