    Click Exit and childlock. This option is at the bottom of the drop-down menu. The Chrome window will close and the browser is locked with a password.

    • You can sign back into Chrome by opening Chrome, selecting your account, and entering your Google account password.
  • Advice

    • Chrome will keep open tabs. When you unlock Chrome, these tabs will still appear.
    • Select a security password. Short or one-word passwords can be easily cracked.
    • An email account that works through Gmail but has a different extension (eg “.edu”) or a different domain (“wikihow” for example) won’t allow you to lock your browser.
