Download and open the Microsoft Remote Desktop application. Click “Free” to download and select “Open” after the installation is complete.

Enter the login information for the remote computer. Username will be the name or IP address of the computer you want to connect to, and password is the login password of that computer.

  • You can find the computer’s IP address by typing “ipconfig” into the command line on that computer.
  • Click the disk icon to save the remote desktop profile for future use.
