Steps

Install Audacity

Prepare to install Audacity. Assume you are using the open source GNU/Linux Ubuntu operating system.

  • On the Ubuntu Desktop, select Ubuntu Software . You will be taken to the Ubuntu Software Center screen, where you can search for and install Audacity.

  • Install Audacity.

    • Click the Install button to install Audacity. Ubuntu will ask you for permission to install the software. You must type your admin password in the ‘ Password ‘ field and then press the ‘ Verify ‘ button below.
