You need to make sure that the cable is installed. If a Comcast employee hasn’t come to your home to install the cable, you’ll need to call the operator and ask for it to be installed.

  • You must have your account information and ID ready before you call Comcast.

Check to make sure you have the correct cable. If it’s an HDTV, you’ll need to use an HDMI cable to connect the Comcast box to the TV; if not, you can use a standard A/V cable (red, yellow and white cables).

  • Cable boxes usually come with A/V cables.
  • You can buy HDMI cables for less than VND 345,000 ($15) online or at electronics stores.

Move the TV away from the wall if possible. You’ll need plenty of space to mount the cable box, so move the TV and entertainment equipment (if any) away from the wall. You will have enough space to fit the cable box without bending the wires.
