Hold a section of hair in place with clips or hair bands.
Divide the left side of your hair that you use to braid into 3 small sections close to the top of your head.

  • You don’t need to take all of your hair, just a small section at the top of your head (about 2.5cm). You will use the rest of your hair to create a French braid.
  • Try to divide your hair into 3 equal-sized sections for an even braid.

Bring the left side of the hair to the center and adjust the original middle part because it is now coming out.
Bring the right section of hair to the middle and also adjust the original middle section.
Add more hair to the left section of hair before you bring it to the center. Do the same for the right side of the hair.
Repeat the above procedure until you have braided the rest of your hair on both sides. With the ends of the braids, you can finish with a traditional triple braid.

Divide your hair into two equal sections. Depending on the length of your hair, you can temporarily hold the rest of your hair in place for the first braid.
Divide the section of hair that you are about to braid into 3 equal sections. You don’t need to part all of your hair, just divide the hair near the top of your head into 3 parts. You’ll get the rest of your hair while braiding.

Find ways to hold sections of hair so you can braid it easily.
Take a section of hair on the outside and put it in the middle. You can take the left or right hair.
Adjust the original center of hair so that it lies on the outside.
Bring the rest of the outer hair to the center. If you took the left side of the hair, now it’s the right side.
Grab a little more hair on the sides before you bring the outer hair in the middle. From now on, you’ll need to get some hair to braid every time you pull the middle section out.
Braid the rest of the hair with the same action.

Use hair clips or hair ties to hold the braid in place.
Repeat the process to braid the rest of your hair.
Braid two braids together.

  • With the three sections of the braid you’re braiding, you’ll be combining the outer and middle sections of hair into one. This will leave you with a section of hair near the split between the two braids.
  • Remove the other side braid and remove some hair for three separate sections. Then, combine the two outermost sections of hair into one.
  • If done correctly, you will be able to merge the two middle sections of hair into one and you will now have 3 new sections.
