Select the data group. Click the top item of the data, hold down the ⇧ Shift key, and then click the last item.

Click Remove Duplicates . The option is in the “Data Tops” section of the Data toolbar near the top of the Excel window. A window will pop up with select/deselect columns.

You need to make sure that each column you want to edit is selected. You will see various column names (such as “Cpumn A”, “Cpumn B”) next to the check box; Click the check box to deselect the column you don’t need.

  • By default, all columns next to the object you select will be listed and pre-tagged in this list.
  • You can click Select All to select all columns in the list.

Click OK . Any duplicate data will be removed from the Excel spreadsheet.

  • If no duplicate data is reported when you know for sure there is, you should select each column at a time.

Click in the upper left cell of the data group to select.

  • Do not include a title (eg “Date”, “Time”, etc.) in the selection.
  • If you only selected one row, click the leftmost heading of the row.
  • If you only selected one column, click the heading at the top of the column.
