This wikiHow teaches you how to delete your eBay account. You can only do this process from the eBay website on your computer. If you want to close your account, your balance must be zero and there are no pending transactions.

Visit the eBay page at https://www.ebay.com using your usual web browser. If you’re logged into eBay, the home page will appear.

If you’re not signed in, click Sign in in the upper-left corner of the page, then enter your email address and password.

Click Account settings . The option is near the bottom of the drop-down menu. The Account Settings page will open.

Click the Account tab in the middle of the row of options below the “My eBay” heading.

Click Close My Account . The option is to the left of the “My Account” heading.

Scroll down and click request to close your account . The link is below the “Closing your eBay account” heading. A new tab will open.

It may take about a minute for this page to appear.

Choose a reason to close the account. Click the Select a category drop-down box, click the category of the reason for leaving, and click the specific reason below the drop-down box.

Confirm that you want to close the account. Click the Select one drop-down box and select No, please close my account .

Click Continue . eBay will close your account. Note that your account may not be fully closed for up to 7 days.

Advice

Feedback you leave for others remains on eBay after you close your account.
If your account is temporarily locked, you will not be able to close it until the reason for the suspension is resolved.

Warning

If you use email as your user ID, change that information before closing your account. Otherwise, all account feedback will live under your email address.
If there are any fees or out-of-pocket amounts on the account, you will not be able to close the account until all are paid.
